Wesley Tan BOst BSc
Registered Osteopath

Wesley studied at the British School of Osteopathy, Europe’s oldest school, on their 4 year full time course. He now lives with his family in Bisley where he runs a successful home practice, The Village Osteopaths. He also treats at the prestigious Harley Street Osteopaths Clinic run by James Summerfield in London, once a month. He is passionate about health and helping others.
Wesley treats with a very detailed knowledge in anatomy that is grounded in a sound understanding and awareness of physicality, movement and human form.
A qualified Kung Fu Instructor for over 11 years and a practising Yogi himself for 8 years, Wesley draws on these experiences to treat and stimulate others toward healing and better health.
Breathing exercises, stretching and strengthening often form a part of Wesley’s treatment plans, however the type of treatment is totally dependent on the patient’s individual needs, abilities and condition.
Wesley has a particular interest in treating chronic pain issues, head and neck problems, and treating children who can often have troubles during growth.
Combining both the subtle and specific techniques of Osteopathy with the pleasure and relaxation of massage, Wesley will help bring your body back toward balance.

About Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a system of manual treatment based on a deep knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology and founded by the American doctor A.T. Still in the 19th century.
Osteopathy aims to help keep the structure of the body in balance, so that the entire body may function as intended, which implies much more than just muscles and bones.
Balanced movement is key to good health, and quality of life could easily be measured by one’s ability to move freely and independently with control.
For how can delicate organs such as the lungs, uterus and kidneys be expected to work efficiently if the structure they are housed in and intricately attached to, be deranged?
“As an electrician controls electric currents, so an osteopath controls life currents…Study and understand bones, muscles, ligaments, nerves, blood supply, and everything pertaining to the human engine, and if your work be well done, you will have it under perfect control.” A. T. Still, 1897
