She danced with Les Grande Ballet Canadien in Montreal for several years before returning to study Philosophy at the University of Ontario. She moved to Cape Town where she gained her Stott Pilates certification & also taught Dance Conditioning classes, before coming to the UK 12 years ago. Jojo’s joy is watching her clients gain awareness and control of their bodies. 'Everyone can achieve the strength & flow that Pilates brings, and improve their lives with better posture and inner core strength'.

In the Spring of 2011, with Jojo’s help, we set up one of the first Barre Workout classes in the UK, an upbeat, fun, body sculpting experience. Jojo's infectious enthusiasm and professionalism ensure her Mat & Barre Workout classes are always popular.

Josie Mayes
Instructor
Pilates Foundation Certified in Mat & Equipment

Josie worked as a Fitness Trainer and Exercise to Music teacher in London, and having suffered from persistent back pain for many years she was recommended to try Pilates by her Osteopath.  Within a few weeks she felt stronger from within, the discomfort quickly subsided and she was soon able to cope with daily activities with more vigour and confidence than she ever imagined. As a result she decided to train as a teacher. Josie graduated from the Scott Studio in Somerset as a member of the Pilates Foundation having completed over 800 hours shadowing some of their most experienced teachers and passing written and practical examinations. Josie is an excellent instructor and very popular with her clients.

Ev Rayson
Instructor
Stott Pilates Certified Instructor (Mat)

Ev has taught dance to adults and children of all ages for many years, specialising in Jazz dance. Ev first discovered Pilates after an accident, when she was struggling to find an effective way to regain her strength and flexibility: 'Stott Pilates saved me 10 years ago, helping me regain my core strength, good alignment and mobility'. So she jumped at the opportunity to train as a Stott Pilates instructor at our studios. 'Stott Pilates is a rigorous and challenging training and I wanted to learn from the best'. Ev also teaches the first of our 'out of town' classes, a very successful weekly class in Gretton. Ev's empathy and care for her clients and warm, bubbly personality ensure her popularity at the studios.
